Mike retired as a social worker in August 2022, although MMA continues to trade as it has for the past 20 years, with associates undertaking the full range of tasks, and Mike concentrating more on administrative tasks.

Mike has been working independently for over 10 years. Social worker by training, he works with local authority, health, voluntary and private sector agencies. As well as his own business, Mike teaches with the Open University and is contracted for a few hours per week as a local authority out of hours social work service co-ordinator.
